I love life and painting a variety of subjects, either that I find beautiful, fun, or challenging. 

Painting for me is total relaxation and living in the moment and I enjoy different ways to express what is in my minds eye and heart.

Growing up in southwest Missouri I have had the pleasure to spend time outdoors in all seasons, fall and winter are my favorites.  I have always loved dogs and used to spend hours as a child looking at books of dogs and I feel like I can recognize most any breed, which is a delightful surprise to owners who have an unusual breed.  My husband is an avid gardener and I've come to love painting gardening subjects as well.

I mainly paint in oils, but occasionally use acrylics, watercolors, and also collage.
